Our Projects

Export packing in a transport crate for Demant

We carried out specialised export packaging for Demant, providing comprehensive protection for the equipment intended for international transport. The project involved the design and manufacture of a dedicated transport crate compliant with international IPPC standards and multi-level protection of the cargo against moisture, corrosion and mechanical damage. The solutions used guarantee maximum protection throughout the transport and storage process.

Scope of service provided:

  • Design and manufacture of a wooden IPPC transport box with internal dimensions 1400x1100x1700 mm and external dimensions 1520x1220x1950 mm
  • VCI corrosion inhibitor packaging with volatile corrosion inhibitors
  • Use of moisture absorbers inside the packaging
  • Protection with stretch film
  • Securing the load inside the box
  • Secured to the ground with Cordlash straps
  • Load restraint and anti-slip protection
  • Installation of tarpaulin and vapour-proof membrane
  • Placing of transport markings

Description of the implementation of the order:

Design and manufacture of a specialised transport box

Based on the dimensions and specifics of the unit, an IPPC-certified wooden transport crate, compliant with the ISPM15 convention, was designed and manufactured. The crate, with internal dimensions of 1400x1100x1700 mm and external dimensions of 1520x1220x1950 mm, was made from dry coniferous wood, which has undergone a rigorous drying process that exceeds standard standards. The design of the crate provides the mechanical strength necessary for safe transport, while meeting all international phytosanitary requirements.

Corrosion and moisture protection

The unit has been protected with a specialised VCI anti-corrosion film by ZERUST/EXCOR, which contains volatile corrosion inhibitors. This advanced technology creates an active chemical barrier to protect metal components from oxidation. In addition, moisture absorbers are used to minimise the risk of condensation during temperature changes during transport and storage, ensuring optimum protection over the long term.

Application of additional safeguards

The entire load was wrapped in stretch film, providing an extra layer of protection and increasing the stability of the whole. A fastening system was fitted inside the crate to precisely immobilise the unit, eliminating the risk of shifting during transport. The professional Cordlash straps used, characterised by high strength, ensured reliable securing to the ground.

Packaging finalisation and transport labelling

A vapour-permeable film was fitted to the walls of the crate to allow excess moisture to escape from the interior of the packaging and the lid was secured with a tarpaulin. The final step was to apply the appropriate transport markings to the crate in accordance with international standards.
