Our Projects
Packing the historic statue of Neptune for sea transport
We carried out a unique operation to pack the historic Neptune statue on the main boulevard in Hel. This monumental object, which for years adorned the seaside boulevard and became one of the city’s landmarks, is now beginning its journey to Australia.
Scope of service provided:
History of the facility:
For many years, the statue of Neptune has been an integral part of the landscape of the Hel Boulevard, witnessing countless walks by residents and tourists. This distinctive element of the urban space, made of durable material, has for years resisted the sea winds and changeable weather of the coast. Now the statue is beginning a new chapter of its history in Australia.
Description of the implementation of the order:
The operation, commissioned by Kuszner Cargo Port, required an exceptional approach and precision. The process began with detailed planning, taking into account all aspects of the safe sea transport of the valuable cargo.
Our work began after the removal of the statue from its base, which was carried out by an external company. A key challenge was the design and manufacture of a dedicated transport crate, which had to meet special requirements related to the nature of the cargo and the specifics of shipping.
The packaging process involved the following steps:
A particularly important design element was the external metal profiles mounted at the top of the box. This unusual solution was dictated by the nature of the load, which requires lifting by the top of the structure, which is crucial during all loading operations.
The owner of the statue, Mr Arck Storm, decided to transport this unique object to Australia after finishing his affairs in Poland. Our implementation was a key element in securing the precious cargo for the long sea journey.
The entire operation was carried out with the utmost care, taking into account all safety requirements and the specifics of maritime transport. The technical solutions used, including a specially designed box with a fastening system and lifting profiles, guarantee the safe transport of this monumental work to its new location in Australia.
