Export packaging of laser marking machines for air transport
In February 2024, Danpol completed a comprehensive export packaging service for laser marking machines and programming equipment for air transport. The implementation included the design, manufacture and preparation of bespoke wooden packaging, as well as the multi-stage securing of cargo in accordance with the stringent requirements of international transport.
Scope of service provided:
Description of the implementation of the order:
1. design and manufacture of customised transport boxes
Each crate is individually designed for the specific dimensions and weight of the equipment, taking into account the requirements of air transport. The transport crates are made of certified wood and plywood compliant with the IPPC standard, which guarantees safety and compliance with international phytosanitary regulations.
2. Preparation of cargo for packaging
The laser marking machines and programming equipment have been set up on sturdy, IPPC-certified wooden platforms to ensure stability during transport and facilitate logistical handling. Each component has been appropriately positioned to minimise the risk of movement during transit.
3. VCI bubble and corrosion protection film
Cargoes were tightly wrapped in bubble wrap to protect against mechanical damage and shock. This was followed by a VCI anti-corrosion film, containing volatile corrosion inhibitors, which effectively protects the metal components of the equipment from moisture and corrosion during air transport.
4 Integration of smaller components and moisture absorbers
All cartons with smaller parts have been attached directly to the main equipment to prevent movement. Moisture absorbers have been placed inside the boxes to further protect the contents from condensation and the effects of temperature changes.
5. final closing and fastening in boxes
Once all items were in place and secured, the loads were restrained with straps and additional timber. The crates were closed and labelled according to transport requirements, and the whole thing was prepared for safe shipment by air.
