Packing a water tank for sea transport

We were awarded a contract for the packaging of a water tank to be transported by sea. This project required us to use specialised methods to secure the cargo.

We started by carefully wrapping the tank itself in a special VCI film, protecting the metal from corrosion. We also placed moisture absorbers inside, eliminating the risk of condensation. We then protected the tank with bubble wrap, providing excellent protection against mechanical damage.

The element thus prepared was additionally wrapped in ALU barrier foil, providing tight protection against moisture and atmospheric agents. Finally, the whole was wrapped in stretch film, giving it a compact and stable form.

We secured the tank to the transport platform with heavy-duty Cordlash straps, preventing it from moving during transport. The entire load was then packed into a specially designed wooden transport box. We also cut an inspection window in its wall, allowing the values from the moisture indicator inside the package to be read.

With such comprehensive packaging for sea transport, the water tank will arrive safely at its destination, ready for further use by the customer. We have met all the requirements of the client, guaranteeing the highest level of cargo security during sea transport.
