Our Projects
Packaging of metal structures for sea transport
In this order, we handled the packing of two oversized metal structures The work was carried out in Kwidzyn, from where the cargo was to be sent by sea.
Scope of service provided:
Description of the implementation of the order:
We started by placing each of the metal structures on a solid wooden platform. We then secured them against movement with frames made of solid wooden squared timbers.
In the next step, we wrapped the whole thing in VCI film, which provides protection against corrosion during sea transport. For additional protection, we also used bubble wrap to absorb any shocks.
We have placed moisture absorbers inside the packaging to keep it dry and protect the cargo from the harmful effects of moisture.
Finally, each of the protected structures was packed into an individual, sturdy transport crate made of solid wooden planks. The crates were marked accordingly and prepared for loading onto the ship.
With comprehensive protection using protective films, wooden platforms, frames and transport boxes, the metal structures were professionally prepared for safe sea transport. We maintained the highest packaging standards, adapting methods to the specific requirements of this cargo and the company’s recommendations.
